The Lady Eagles volleyball team is getting ready to head into D2 -8 subdistrict action on Monday, Oct. 25.
The Eagles will travel to Maywood on Oct. 25 to take on Medicine Valley at 4 p.m.
The Eagles are coming off a difficult loss in the MNAC Volleyball tournament where they were eliminated in the first round by Sandhills/Thedford.
Although the final score reflected a hard outcome, there were good things that came of the match.
The Eagles have worked hard this season to continue to support one another on the court and pull together when things aren’t going the way they want.
That was evident in the match against the Knights.
Sandhills/Thedford came out in the first set and won 25-17.
Brady came back in the second set and battled hard to a 25-23 win to even the sets at one a piece.
In the third set, the Eagles caught fire and demolished the Knights in a 25-8 victory to take a one-set lead.
The Knights made some adjustments and won the fourth set 25-16.
The fifth set didn’t seem to have all the Eagles firing the way they needed to as Brady fell in a 15-6 loss and were eliminated from the tournament.
Despite their record this season, the Lady Eagles have proven they are a team that is dangerous and will be heading into the post-season tournament with determination.
