The Gothenburg Chamber of Commerce’s annual Munchkin Masquerade on Halloween drew hundreds of little trick-or-treaters in costume swarming the sidewalks of downtown.

Downtown businesses opened their doors and handed out treats to the children for about an hour on the afternoon of Oct. 31.

Several of the business owners commented that they like the masquerade because they enjoy seeing all the kiddos in their fun costumes.

A number of the adults got involved by dressing up with their children, and some, such as the Reiman family, choose a theme and make it a family affair.

The sun made an appearance, and warmer temperatures crept in for a few hours, making it an enjoyable event for everyone.
