When the Peterson family opened Fresh Seasons Market, they had two primary objectives; to maintain the community relationships that have been established for three generations, and to combine that with a modern state-of-the-art shopping experience. The owners are pleased to announce the addition of new programs, integrating the latest technology, to accomplish that.
Just last week a new website for the store was launched, along with a new app to make shopping easier than ever. The website is freshseasonsmarket.com, and there customers can view the latest sales flyer, see all the new things happening at the store, or shop online. The app, freshop, can be downloaded on the customers mobile device and can also be utilized for online shopping.
Fresh Seasons Market also offers pick up and delivery options to customers within the city of Gothenburg. Hours for that service are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. “You can even start shopping today and set your pick up or delivery for next week if you want to,” explained Michael Peterson.
As an added convenience, all items in the sale ad are clickable - meaning as you’re looking through the ad and you see something you want, simply click on the item and add it to your cart. “We will have personal shoppers here who will fill the orders and will work to be as accurate as possible,” said Peterson.
When a customer chooses the pickup option they can select the time, then pull up to the store and their order will be brought to their car. “We’re really excited about this program,” Peterson added.
With these newly added features the weekly sale flyers will no longer be in everyone’s mailbox each week. Peterson explained that postage rates associated with the mailing have become cost prohibitive. Utilizing this technology will also help reduce the amount of paper waste being generated from printing so many flyers. However, flyers will still be printed and will be available at various locations around Gothenburg. Some of those locations are: Gothenburg Senior Center, Chamber of Commerce, the city library, Gothenburg Health, the teachers lounge at both the high school and elementary school, Stone Hearth, Hilltop and the Gothenburg Leader.
“I plan to go around town and deliver flyers on Fridays for the following week. We had been printing thousands of flyers and came to find out that a lot of them weren’t going anywhere,” Peterson explained.
Having the printed sale flyer still available, along with the new website and app will allow customers to view the ad no matter what medium they choose. Users will create an account and their rewards number will be added to that account. There are also a large number of coupons available on the website to provide customers even more savings.
“We have a lot of really great employees here who are excited to help the customers by doing their shopping for them,” said Peterson.
