Class of 2021

For most of us, high school graduation is a milestone event in life that we never forget. The pomp and circumstance, hearing your name called as you walk across the stage to receive your diploma, gathering with family and friends to celebrate the big day. It’s the culmination of 13 years of life, and growing up, and learning.

Sadly, the Gothenburg High School Class of 2020 was not able to experience that day. The pandemic cost them that opportunity. But graduation plans for the GHS Class of 2021 are moving forward. Sixty-six graduates are on track to receive their diploma in a ceremony on Sunday, May 9 at 2 p.m.

The graduation ceremony will be held in the north gym of the high school. Tickets will be provided to each graduate for seating, and general attendance at the event will not be limited. Masks will be required.

The last day of classes for the 2021 seniors will be Wednesday, May 5. The Leader will feature all of the Gothenburg High School 2021 graduates in a special section of the May 6 edition.
