Lt. Gov. Mike Foley was in Gothenburg on Friday, Sept. 25 to help celebrate the re-opening of the renovated Sun Theatre, and while he was here he took time to visit one of the community’s newest businesses, Curbtender.
The factory, located in the former Baldwin building, will produce all its rear loading refuse trucks and select automated side loaders in Gothenburg. The first truck rolled off the line on Feb. 25, less than 120 days after the facility began a retrofit process to accommodate Curbtender’s operation.
Foley was given a tour of the factory by Curbtender president Mark Watje.
