Wynne Edward Norsworthy, 90 of Gothenburg, died June 19, 2022, in Gothenburg. He was born Nov. 21, 1931, in Gothenburg, son of Bernard and Mima (Morris) Norsworthy.
Wynne graduated from Gothenburg High with the class of 1950. He then went on to attend the University of Nebraska in Lincoln before joining the United States Army. He served his country in the US Army from March 1952 to February 1954. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Wynne married Donna Joyce Love on Oct. 16, 1955, in Cozad. Wynne and Donna operated Norsworthy Feed Store in Gothenburg for 53 years.
Survivors include daughter, Julie Jo (Leroy) Scott of Gothenburg; two grandchildren, Chris (Ann) Scott of Gothenburg and Chelsea (Scott) Uhrich of Gothenburg; three great-grandchildren, Talon, Roman, and Liam all of Gothenburg; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Wynne was preceded in death by wife, Donna Joyce Norsworthy; parents, Bernard and Mima; two brothers, Bernie Norsworthy and Milt Norsworthy; two sisters, Joan Combs and Virginia Hansen.
Private family services will take place at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. Memorials may be given to the Gothenburg Senior Center, or Central Plains Home Health and Hospice.
