Continuing education for staff, a series of General Fund transfers and preparations for the new school year were among the leading items addressed by the Brady Board of Education during its regular meeting Aug. 10. Board members present at the meeting were Ryan Stearns, Bryan Franzen, Sara Gentry, Necole Miller and Marge Spencer. Tina Golter was absent.
The board approved up to $35,000 in continuing education reimbursement for staff members pursuing additional education. Brady Public Schools spent $39,590.69 on continuing education reimbursement last year, and board members expressed support for continuing the program as an incentive for staff to further their education. This year's $35,000 allocation will serve as the maximum available for reimbursement.
