The Brady volleyball team picked up its first win of the season and battled through a pair of losses during a busy week of competition.
Brady traveled to South Platte for a triangular with South Platte and Perkins County on Sept. 1. The Eagles started the night with a 2-0 victory over South Platte, winning 25-20 and 25-19.
The win evened Brady’s record at 1-1 after opening the season with a five-set loss to Anselmo-Merna.
Brady then faced Perkins County and pushed the match to three sets. The Plainsmen took the first 25-15 before the Eagles answered with a 25-20 victory in the second.
The third set came down to the final points, with Perkins County edging Brady 25-23 to take the match 2-1. Brady left the triangular with a split and a 1-2 record.
