“I really wish I could’ve had something like this in high school, and when I talk to people about it, that’s what they say, too,” shared Sharon Axthelm, Brady’s JAG teacher. Axthelm just finished her first year with the relatively new program, which aims to fill a gap for high school students that has been noticed nationwide for decades.
Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a national program designed to help young people develop the skills, confidence and support they need to succeed in school, the workplace and life. Established in Nebraska in 2019, JAG operates as a public-private partnership involving school districts, corporate partners, United Way of the Midlands, and the Nebraska Departments of Labor and Health and Human Services.
