MCC Ends Inaugural Season With Good Showing at State

The 56th annual Cornhusker Trap Shoot was held in Doniphan April 30 – May 2. The Midwest Clay Crushers made a good showing all three days to finish their season strong.

The Junior division consisted of grades 6 – 8 with their competition taking place on Thursday, April 30. Braxton Litz led the Juniors, crushing 89/100 rocks for the day. Logan Hansen followed closely behind with 85/100.

High school students in grades 9 – 12 made up the Senior division. Shooting from the 16-yard line took place on Friday, May 1, with Jacob Hughes leading the team for the day, hitting 68/75 rocks. Handicaps took place on Saturday, May 2, with Roman Scott leading the way with a 63/75. The two-day competition ended with Jacob Hughes as high overall senior shooter for the team.
