Women B-6 Runner-Up, Men District Champs in Eight Events

The Gothenburg women’s track team is your NSAA B-6 District Runner-Up!

In a season that has been filled with accomplishments, the Swede track and field teams added yet another feather to their caps at the B-5 District meet on Tuesday, May 12.

The girls’ team finished in second place behind District Champions Chadron, with the Swede men finishing third in the team standings behind Scottsbluff and Cozad.

Individually, the men’s team qualified in eight events for the NSAA State Track and Field Championships, with three of those events fielding two GHS qualifiers. Meanwhile, the girls qualified athletes in nine events for the state meet. Needless to say, the Swedes are well represented in Omaha this week!

State qualifiers for the women’s team are: Lily Fritton, 100m and High Jump; Scout Bell, 1600…
