On Aug. 25, we lost an American icon - Miss Dolly Parton. While she may have been most famous for her distinct singing voice and incredible talent for songwriting, a big part of Dolly’s legacy is a program called Imagination Library.
Launched in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides free books to children ages birth to five. This is accomplished through partnerships with local libraries and funded primarily by private donors who, like Dolly, have a passion for the importance of early childhood literacy.
