Pony Express Re-Ride Coming to Midway June 17

The annual Pony Express Re-Ride will traverse Nebraska June 16–18, highlighting the state’s central role in one of the most legendary communication networks in American history. As the nation prepares for the United States Semiquincentennial, this year’s ride offers a powerful reminder of the innovation and determination that helped connect a young and expanding country.

One of the route highlights for the annual re-ride is Midway Station, located south of Gothenburg on the 96 Ranch. The riders are expected to arrive at the station on Wednesday, June 17, at approximately 2:15 p.m. The public is invited to come to the ranch to witness the riders as they exchange the mochila and horses.
