Amy and Dan Wenger laugh as they reminisce about the way they once joked about starting their own food business. “And we said we could call it Wingdings, and then we would just laugh,” Dan recalls.
Earlier this year, what was once just a fleeting thought became a reality for the couple, who are now set to embark on a new journey Wingdings Sports Bar & Grill.
Dan and Amy both grew up in Gothenburg and are graduates of Gothenburg High School. While they admit they didn’t really know each other well in high school, they had become acquainted during their early years.
“Our dads knew each so we were around each other when we were little kids. She said she used to chase me around the garage,” Dan shared with a grin.
“I might have had a little crush on him,” Amy countered.
