passed away at home on June 8, 2026, and is now freely following her rainbow connection. Nette was born on Oct. 19, 1968, to Jack Wilson and Juanita Riggle.
Most of Nette's youth was spent in North Platte where she was involved in many extra-curricular activities. Most of her time was spent participating in 4-H or band playing the flute or piccolo. She had an avid love for playing the piano and spent countless hours with the piano and sharing that love with her entire family over the years.
Nette loved to learn and continued her education many times over the years. She earned several college degrees over the years and always maintained a hunger for knowledge.
Nette faced many health battles over the years but always seemed to come out stronger on the other side. When she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, she began joining MS walks, helping to raise funds for the National MS Society. When she lost her hearing, she taught herself ASL. She also joined the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and helped pioneer new mandates to get better auditory care, including cochlear implants approved by insurance carriers.
Nette spent as much time as she could with her family. While her children Elizabeth and Joshua were young, she attended all of their activities, whether it was Scouts, sports or concerts. She encouraged her children to always do what they loved. She was always there for a listening ear, a helping hand or advice when it was needed.
She shared that same love with her grandchildren and she loved them fiercely. Being a 'Nonni' was her most
treasured title and her grandchildren are left with wonderful memories of her.
Nette was also blessed to spend the last 14 years with her best friend Mike, and the two of them shared many happy years together. Nette loved her stepchildren and grandchildren and greatly enjoyed getting to know them and spend time with them. Mike devoted the last five years to being Nette's full time caregiver, for which she was extremely thankful. She loved Mike deeply and was able to find peace with him at her side, holding her hand as she passed.
Nette was loved by so many people and will be missed immensely. Those left to treasure her memories are her husband, Mike; children, Elizabeth (Kyle) Koch and Joshua (Kristina) Bevard; stepchildren, Aaron Lawless, Jason (Tara) Lawless, Jessica (John) Guerrero; grandchildren, Taylor, Cadence, Addelyne, Heath, Aline, Axle, Mallory, Daemon, Mika, Emmersyn, Harper and Knox; brother, Andrew (Olivia) Constantine and nephew Finn Constantine; special aunt, Jean (Duane) Forsyth; special aunt and uncle, Darrell and Judy Constantine; special cousin, John (Mary) Constantine; best friend, Nikki Brand; mother, Juanita Riggle; sister, Kriste (Rod) Brittain; brother, James Riggle; along with many other family and friends.
Waiting to meet Nette, among many others, were her father, Jack Wilson; and grandparents, Charles and Ruby Wilson, Wilbur Constantine and Phyllis Luebs.
A celebration of life will be held for Nette at a later date. The family will release more information as it is finalized. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the National MS Society under the Nette Lawless Memorial Fund.
