For 26 years, a day on the golf course has helped shape the future of healthcare. The Gothenburg Health Foundation will host its 26th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, Aug. 21, at Wild Horse Golf Club. The four-person scramble, featuring a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start, raises funds for scholarships awarded to graduating seniors pursuing careers in healthcare and medicine.
What began as a fundraising event has grown into a lasting investment in the future of healthcare. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, golfers, and volunteers, the Foundation has now awarded more than 50 scholarships to students pursuing medical careers. Even more rewarding, many recipients have returned to rural communities to provide care close to home.
