The Lady Swedes golf team competed in their first individual meet of the year at the Kearney Catholic High School Invitational held at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course on Thursday, Aug. 27.
Amelia Haas led the Swedes with an 18-hole score of 122. Ashlyn Hoffman, Adyson Stevens, and Lily Sics were right behind her, respectively.
“The first tournament of the year is always a little more challenging due to nerves, finding the right placement for girls in the lineup, and for several of the girls, this was the first time playing Meadowlark, which is a difficult course that plays long and has several hazards on both sides of the fairway,” Swedes Coach Tara Foster explained. “Overall, I was pleased with the girls' approach shots as we have been putting in a lot of work around the greens at practice.
