There’s a new shop in town, and it’s a tasty one.
Traci Hanes and Joslyn Forbes, a mother-daughter duo from North Platte, recently opened the doors to “The Sip”, a tearoom specializing in energy teas, protein shakes and protein coffees right here in downtown Gothenburg. Located just down the block from the Sun Theater on 10th Street, the ladies began serving their specialty drinks on March 17.
The shop serves as the second location that Forbes and Hanes have started, with the first one, “The Fix” in North Platte, celebrating its fifth birthday this year.
“We’ve had our store in North Platte for five years, and we used to deliver to several businesses in Gothenburg once or twice a week,” Forbes explained. “So that’s where the idea came from to come and open a store here.”
