Johnson Brothers Are In It To Win It

Gothenburg senior Evan Johnson will be making his third trip to the Nebraska State Track and Field Championships in Omaha this week. However, this year is different. This year, Evan will be competing with - and against his little brother.

All season, Evan and Callen, a sophomore, have competed for the Swedes in both the 110m and 300m hurdles. That means they have not only been running against athletes from other schools, but also against each other.

“We are for sure both competitive, but I think at the end of the day it’s just a matter of pushing each other to get better. It’s not bragging rights or anything, it’s just for each person to be better in their own way,” Evan explained.

Both medaled in both hurdle events at every meet this season. They both improved their times in the 110m hurdles…
