Spring is a wonderful season. Everything is turning green, trees are leafing out and flowers are beginning to bloom. Typically, the warmer temperatures are a much-anticipated reprieve from the harshness of winter, but this year, winter seems to have skipped Nebraska!
Along with the newness of life in our yards and on the farms, it is also a very busy time of year. A host of school activities and graduations keep parents and grandparents hopping from one thing to another during the month of May. Throw birthdays and an important holiday like Mother’s Day into the mix, and it’s enough to make anyone lose track of things.
In fact, as I write this I am preparing to head to Minnesota for a niece’s college graduation, and have a grandson graduating in Lincoln later this month. Last weekend I watche…
