After beginning their 2026 campaign at home in a memorable game disrupted by storm sirens, the Gothenburg football team had their first road game last Friday night when they traveled to Hershey to take on the Panthers. The Swedes improved their record to 2-0 in a low-scoring game that ended 16-6.
The only points by either team in the first quarter of play was a field goal by Dillon Floyd. The Panthers were able to get the ball in the end zone in the second quarter to take a 6-3 lead into the halftime locker room. That would be the only score of the game for Hershey.
