The Gothenburg varsity men’s golf team had a good showing last week, as they finished in third place overall in the team standings at the Holdrege Duster Invite on Tuesday before taking on their in-county competition on Friday.
The team traveled to Holdrege on April 28 for a 12-team tournament that saw the Kearney JV team finish with the low score of the day of 323. Aurora was second with 329, with the Swedes just one stroke back with 330. They shot 42 over par as a team.
Other teams participating in the invite, in order of finish, were Hastings, Cozad, Minden, McCook, GICC, Broken Bow, Northwest, Holdrege, and Lexington.
