Gothenburg FFA Students Remain Busy Through Summer Break

The Gothenburg FFA chapter has had a busy and rewarding summer filled with community service and volunteer opportunities.

We kicked off summer break by placing flags and crosses in the cemetery for Memorial Day to honor the veterans who gave their lives in service to our country.

While we always hope for sunshine, the end of spring can sometimes bring severe weather. After a tornado passed through St. Libory, a town near Grand Island, members of our chapter spent the day helping clean up debris left behind by the storm.

One of the ways our chapter gives back to the community is through Meals on Wheels. Members volunteered their time delivering meals to the homes of elderly residents, helping ensure they received both food and a friendly visit.
