Marie Foster says that about two years ago, she began thinking about ways to bring young people together and build community. That eventually turned into the idea of doing a play at the Sun Theatre.
“I was talking about the idea with my daughter, Mashaela, and she mentioned that High School Musical had always been a dream project for her. From there, it stopped being just an idea and started turning into something we could actually plan,” Foster shared.
Auditions were held, and a cast was assembled from students in Gothenburg, Cozad, Brady, North Platte and Eustis.
