Last week, Gothenburg Public Schools hosted Swede Orientation for all of the new teachers for the 2026-27 school year. This week included teacher in-service days on Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for the first day of welcoming students back into the classrooms on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
The annual Back-to-School night open house will be held on Monday, Aug. 17, in the high school and Dudley Elementary for all students in grades K-12, from 5:30-7 p.m. The open house provides an opportunity for incoming kindergartners, junior high, high school, and new students and families to become familiar with the school, staff, and classroom format.
