Handbooks, Account Transfers, Receive Board Approval

In preparation for a new school year, the Gothenburg Board of Education had just a few minor housekeeping items to wrap up on its short Aug. 10 meeting agenda. Those items included the second reading and final approval of the 2026-27 activity handbook and staff handbook.

The activity handbook was presented to the board for a first reading at the July meeting. The only changes to this year’s handbook were made to align with new board policies, such as the price of the activity card. There was no public input prior to the second reading, and it was given unanimous approval by the board.

The same was true for the staff handbook. Only changes to align with new board policies were made, and no additional feedback was received. The board cast a unanimous vote to approve the handbook as presented.
