Cowboy Dressage World Nebraska held their annual schooling show, CDWN Roundup, last Friday and Saturday, Aug.
7-8. A group of Dawson County horsemen and women made the trip to Lincoln to participate, many of them in their inaugural outing for the discipline. Several riders came home with awards, including three grand or reserve champion buckles for their efforts.
In the amateur division, Stacey Mundell of Cozad piloted her quarter horse mare, TQH Especial Lulu, to a grand champion buckle win, finishing with the top score overall for the show with a 75.8 in the Walk/Jog 3 class. Mundell also took home a first-place trophy for Amateur Walk/ Jog high score. Hope Lewis of Gothenburg, competing with her Arabian horse, Shutan Al Khamsa, garnered a top mark of 69.6 in Walk/Jog 3.
