Rebuilding Year For Head Coach Foster and Swede Girls’ Golf Team

    Head Coach Tara Foster called the 2025 GHS girls’ golf season “one for the books”.

    “The girls set goals at the beginning of the season, whether that was to make it to the state championship or to become more consistent from one shot to the next. These goals led to our best season yet,” said an enthusiastic Coach Foster.

    Heading into the district meet, Foster said the girls felt confident and were set to play their best golf. The Swedes competed against the top teams in our district, where they finished in third place as a team, earning a trip to the 2025 Class C State Championship meet and a State Qualifier plaque.

    The district qualifying team included Addi Burkink, Lyndsay Anderson, Kaylee Olsen, Amaiya Carlson, and Amelia Haas. Of that team, only Haas returns this season. However, Coach Fos…
