For more than a century, folks have been gathering in early fall to celebrate the Gothenburg community during the Harvest Festival. The 2026 Harvest Festival is now officially underway, with one event already in the books and a host of fun activities scheduled for the next four days.
Last night, Sept. 16, the Sun Theatre hosted a Trivia Night centered on this year’s theme of ‘Game On Gothenburg’. This evening, Sept. 17, everyone is invited to the Rotary Pavilion at Lake Helen to enjoy a free hot dog - and if you are brave enough, and hungry enough, you can enter the hot dog eating contest. The hot dog feed will be held from 5:30 7:30 p.m., with the contest at 6:30 p.m.
