High-Scoring Game Keeps Swedes’ Win Streak Alive

The Swedes remain undefeated through the first three games of the season, as they welcomed the Mitchell Tigers to the gridiron on Friday, Sept. 11. It was a dominating performance, as Gothenburg easily took the win by the final score of 45-29.

It didn’t take long for the Swedes to get on the board first, when less than two minutes into the game, they scored on a 12-yard pass. A successful 2-point conversion put Gothenburg up 8-0 early.

The celebration lasted only a few minutes, however, as the Tigers completed a 60-yard pass play for 6, then converted their own 2-pointer to even the score. With three minutes left in the quarter, the Swedes connected on another TD pass, this time for 18 yards, and made good on the PAT to end the first with a 15-8 lead.
