The Brady Board of Education approved several items during its Sept. 14 regular meeting, including a new virtual health program, replacement of a school entrance door, and the district’s option enrollment resolution.
One of the biggest additions for the district will be a partnership with Children’s Nebraska to provide Virtual School Health services. The program will allow students to connect with pediatric healthcare professionals without leaving school and can provide acute care, support for chronic conditions, medication management, health education, care coordination, and behavioral health screenings.
The board approved the program at an annual cost of $3,500, which includes testing materials, visits, and technology. The district plans to try the program for one year.
