The Brady cross country team battled windy conditions and a schedule change at the Maywood-Hayes Center Meet last week.
The meet was originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24, at 4:30 p.m., but was moved up to Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. Despite the change and tough conditions, the Brady girls put together a strong performance and earned the runner-up team title.
Zoe Johnson led the Eagles with a second-place finish. Violet Gentry also finished among the leaders, placing fifth, while Brooke Lydic contributed to Brady’s second-place team finish.
On the boys side, Jayvin Gentry, Gus Barnes and Remington Johnson represented Brady and competed through windy conditions throughout the afternoon.
The meet continued a strong stretch for the Eagles as they move into the second half of their season…
