I am painfully aware of how old I am. Therefore, I do not understand the need for frequent reminders of the season of life I’m currently in. Yet, there they are.
For example, a couple of weeks ago five of my high school friends and I got together to attend a concert at the state fair featuring one of our favorite bands from high school - KC & The Sunshine Band. When I went online to order the tickets the day they went on sale, I noticed it said the concert was on a Monday… at 2:30 in the afternoon. I was sure that had to be a mistake. Who has a concert at 2:30 on a Monday? Well, come to find out, KC & The Sunshine Band does! And to add insult to injury, it was Senior Citizens Day at the fair, so we all got in free.
