Dawson County Voters Align With Statewide Choices

We typically do not see a high voter turnout in a primary election, especially in a mid-term election. That certainly held true in Nebraska last week, when only about 27 percent of registered voters went to the polls.

Hecox Awarded Consolidated Scholarship

Kaitlyn Hecox of Brady, daughter of Bryan and Michelle Hecox, has been awarded a scholarship from Consolidated Companies, Inc. for the 2026-27 school year. Kaitlyn will receive a scholarship of $2,000 for higher education. Kaitlyn is a graduate of Gothenburg High School.

NeCGA Celebrates Passage of E15 Legislation

The Nebraska Corn Growers Association (NeCGA) is celebrating the passage of H.R. 1346, the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, which was passed on Wednesday, May 13.

Historical Museum Welcomes Visitors For The Season

The Gothenburg Historical Museum is open for the season, and on Monday, April 27, museum board members and volunteers hosted an open house to kick-start the 2026 season. The museum opens each year on May 1 and remains open to the public through Sept. 30.
