Bell, Neels, Improve Times as Swedes Collect More Hardware

The Gothenburg cross country team competed at the Ogallala Invite on a rainy Thursday, Sept. 24; however, the weather did not slow down the Swedes. The men finished as team champions, while the women ended the day as team runners-up.

Scout Bell continues to dominate the women’s division, and last week she not only led the field at Ogallala - she ran her fastest time yet. Bell finished with a time of 18:41.0, more than 30 seconds ahead of her previous best time of 19:12 earlier this season. Bell has now won gold in all four meets she has run in this season. She was one of three who finished in under 19 minutes at Ogallala.

Gothenburg’s Cassidy Reiman also turned in her best time thus far last week, finishing in 19:37.4 to earn the 5th place medal. Brooklyn Reiman came in 11th place with a tim…
