Last week was a busy one on the volleyball court for the Lady Swedes, who began the week on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at North Platte St. Pat’s before entering a grueling weekend of play at their own Harvest Festival tournament.
The Swedes were firing on all cylinders in the opening set against St. Pat’s with a dominating 25-8 win. GHS also easily won the second set 25-15, and held on in set three to get the sweep, winning 25-22.
Senior Zoe Beveridge had a good night at the net, knocking down 12 kills in the game. Fellow senior Grace Evert contributed 8 kills, Lauren Mroczek had 6, Greer Tiller had 4, and Lily Fritton and Riley Flesch each contributed 3 kills in the team effort.
