Swedes Roll Past Indians to Remain Undefeated

The Swedes remain unbeaten on the football field in 2026, as they steamrolled the Ogallala Indians in Ogallala on Friday, Sept. 18, by a final score of 43-6.

The Swedes finished the night with 210 rushing yards, compared to only 45 for the Indians. The teams were a little more evenly matched through the air, with Gothenburg totaling 104 passing yards and Ogallala 91.

Starting quarterback for the Swedes, junior Dillon Floyd, completed 9 of 20 passes for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brigham Ricley, also a junior, took 5 snaps at the QB spot, completing 2 passes for 32 yards.

Floyd also led the team in ground yardage with 78 rushing yards on 13 carries. Ricley and Maddox Gilligan each had 4 carries, with Ricley picking up 52 yards and Gilligan 50. Burke Finke gained 26 yards on 3 carries.
